Daniel started his extensive studies in the USA, where he attended The University of Indianapolis (Indiana) and Redlands Community College (Oklahoma), between 2011-2015, while on a baseball scholarship. Understanding the opportunity presented to him, Daniel made the most of his time in America, completing his Bachelor of Exercise Science degree and Associate Degree in Applied Science.

While playing baseball at both these colleges, Daniel was awarded Academic All-Conference honours. During Daniel’s senior year (2015), he played on the University of Indianapolis football team as the punter, where the team were conference champions.

Daniel has also played representative baseball for Australia, the Sydney Blue Sox and South Australia while also playing Division I amateur league AFL in South Australia.

On his return to Australia, Daniel gained his Doctor of Physiotherapy degree from Macquarie University, including 1200+ hours of clinical placement and completing his thesis related to concussion in AFL. During his time at Macquarie University, Daniel gained knowledge and experience across various settings, including spinal cord rehab, stroke rehab, private practice, orthopaedics, paediatrics, and the corporate setting.

Daniel’s most treasured experience at Macquarie University came in 2019 when he was among four post-graduate students selected to travel to Hyderabad, India, to complete an international rotation in acute stroke rehabilitation and orthopaedics. Developing a deep understanding of culture and working with an international team of surgeons, nurses and allied health staff, Daniel returned with the motivation of opening ASP and providing the community with a functional and motivating approach to Physiotherapy.

Daniel has created a specialised approach to Physiotherapy treatment, return to sport and injury prevention by incorporating a functional strength & conditioning approach, no matter the individual’s age, sport, lifestyle, or competition level.
